Biggar Django Festival hits our town 19-21 June. Ever wondered what Gypsy Swing is – the music also called Gypsy Jazz, Jazz Manouche and Hot Club Swing – and where it all began?

John Jeremy's landmark 1991 documentary follows the living legacy of Django Reinhardt (1910 - 1953, the Romani guitarist who started it all – from  camp sites in Holland and France to a guitar workshop in Paris, a pub in Liverpool and at Samois-sur-Seine, the French village where Django spent his final years and where there is now an annual guitar festival.
